DESCRIPTION:Jonathan Metzler and a group of FPCNYC teens will be offering tech support to seniors on the first Sunday of each month during coffee hour. Seniors who need help with technology can bring their phones\, laptops\, iPads\, and other devices to church\, and the teen tech squad will work with them one-on-one. No need to sign up in advance – just show up! \n  \nMembers who are unable to attend church or require immediate assistance may request a home visit. DESCRIPTION:July 14th & August 17th:\n\n\nJoin in the Congregational Read this summer as we read How the Word is Passed: A Reckoning With the History of Slavery Across America by Clint Smith. The book is widely available\, and a few copies will be at the front desk of the church to borrow. \n\n\nWhere: Library and via Zoom (July 14th linked here and August 17th linked here)\n\nWhen: 12-2 p.m.\, drop in any time\n\n\n\nThis group reading is for folks who:\n\n\nwant to build community around reading\nwant some scheduled time set aside to read\nwant to read but are really busy and the external accountability will help!\n\n\nThere will be snacks for those in person. We’ll take a couple breaks to share learnings and insights\, but this will mostly be time set aside to read.\n\n\n\nEach of the group reading sessions takes place the week before the Book Discussions\, held via Zoom on July 26th and August 23rd from 6:30 – 8 p.m. Reading is recommended but not required to participate in the Book Discussions.
