James Hollander will share a pancake making (and flipping?) tutorial and we’ll learn about the meaning behind Shrove Tuesday\, as well as make suggestions for how you and your family can observe Lent this year. Time permitting\, we’ll have a few zoom games that might very likely involve your favorite hymns! Jazz pianist and composer\, Deanna Witkowski\, joins us to close the celebration\, with selections from her soon to be released biography of Mary Lou Williams. One of the most acclaimed jazz musicians of the 20th century\, Williams midlife conversion to Catholicism undergirded her belief in the healing power of music.
