Christmas Eve Services 4:30 pm and 11:00 pm
December 24, 2021
Dear church,
We hope you are well and keeping safe this Advent season as we see rapid changes in our city and world.
As we learn about the significant increase in Covid-19 numbers we recognize the importance of keeping one another safe this Christmas. It is with a heavy heart that the Session and staff in consultation with other bodies of worship had to make the decision to move our Christmas Eve services to virtual services only due to the increase in Covid-19 cases and for the safety of all worshipers.
While we are deeply saddened to have to make this difficult decision, we must put the safety of one another first. Because it is unknown how long this Covid-19 surge will last, we need to hold our worship services online only again for December 26, January 2, and January 9th. All ministries of the church will also go virtual until at least January 10th. Our Covid-19 team will meet again in the first days of the new year to reevaluate.
We recognize the disappointment that we all are feeling as we have to make these changes this season. We also recognize that caring for one another is our call, and we are grateful to you for helping make that possible. Regardless, we will still have Christmas, and we can hold onto the hope and the joy of Jesus’ coming. We invite you to celebrate with us this season through our online services as we continue to be the church.
Blessings and peace to you this Advent season.
