2024 Nominating Process

Due on or Before October 22, 2023
The 2024 Nominating Process is underway, and we need YOUR input! We are in the process of soliciting nominations from congregation members to the Session (Elders), Deacons, and Trustees. We are asking for the names of congregation members who you think would be an asset in these leadership roles.

Deacons
Minister to those who are in need, sick, or could use a helping hand.

Session (Elders)
The principal decision-making body of FPC. Responsible for setting vision and governance. Elders chair and participate in Action Groups and Standing Committees.

Trustees
Responsible for conducting FPC’s business affairs and managing its properties.

Some suggested qualifications are as follows:

- - - Individuals with regular worship participation, a commitment to spiritual growth, a passion for a specific area of ministry, a commitment to financial stewardship of FPC, and a spirit of leadership and serving others,
    - Congregation members with compassion, kindness, collaborative skills, interpersonal skills, the ability to follow through, and sound judgment.
      Recommendations may be made by:

- - - leaving a message with FPC’s front desk (212-675-6150) and a member of the Nominating Committee will call you.
    - emailing [email protected].
    - mailing your recommendation to
      The First Presbyterian Church, 12 West 12th Street, New
      York, NY 10011, attention: Nominating Committee.
    - dropping a nomination in the Nominating Box at FPC’s front desk.

If emailing or mailing your nomination, please include the name of the nominee, role you are nominating them for, and a few reasons why you feel they would be a good leader.
